BRIDGE OF HOPE MISSION FIELDS BECOME A PARTNER BREAKTHROUGH

Gulf Coast

Hurricanes Katrina, Gustav and Ike tore through the nation’s Gulf Coast, jarring a community into a constant state of uncertainty. Katrina caused 80% flooding in New Orleans, Louisiana. Gustav and Ike slammed into Texas within months of each other causing massive power outages and killing 20 people. The devastation sustained by individuals in the area multiplied due to the storms’ repetition.

FEMA recognized Bride of Hope as an official “First Responder.” The trucks drove as close to the storms as possible before they made landfall in order to deliver much needed aid as quickly as possible. Those affected by Hurricane Gustav received 240,000 pounds of food, personal hygiene items and cleaning supplies. Ike’s victims were visited three times and received 920,000 pounds of aid all over the state of Texas. Over 2.5 million pounds of relief was delivered to New Orleans, Louisiana in the wake of Katrina, helping rebuild the lives of thousands.

Sudden tragedy always comes as something you never thought would happen to you. Will you click here to become a part of the unexpected help that comes in unexpected times of need?
