Terrorist attacks in some of the nation’s most vibrant, metropolitan areas drove the formation of a volunteer core that worked tirelessly to retrieve buried and stranded loved ones from blocks of jagged rubble. Nearly three thousand lives were lost in New York City as airplanes hi-jacked by radical Muslim terrorists slammed into the city’s Twin Towers. The New York City Police and Fire Departments put their lives on the line for stretches of hours and days to care for the injured and the dead. Bridge of Hope took the opportunity to minister to their needs as they met the needs of others.

Working in conjunction with partners, Bridge of Hope rushed three tractor trailer loads of water, gloves and other supplies to the rescue workers and volunteers working around the clock at Ground Zero in New York City. In 2002, Rod Parsley traveled to New York City to pay tribute to all those who lost their lives in the tragedy – and those they left behind.

Efforts such as this one are impossible without the financial support of friends and partners. Click here to keep Bridge of Hope missions around the world strong and help preach the gospel to a lost a hurting world through the Breakthrough television broadcast.

Bridge of Hope and partners deliver 120,000 pounds of aid to strengthen rescue workers and volunteers in the wake of 9/11.

Prayer Focus Points:

For the Gospel to be proclaimed in the midst of heartache, sorrow, and emotional pain.

For the families of those who lost loved ones in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks and the destruction of the World Trade Center towers, the Pentagon, and the rural community in Pennsylvania.
