Executive Assistant

World Harvest Church, a global ministry with multiple campuses in Central Ohio, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, highly competent and professional Executive Assistant that desires to use their talent to impact the world. This ministry with its world-wide platform is affecting every strata of society spiritually, educationally, economically and culturally through the expanse of the Breakthrough television program.

This Executive Assistant opening is a fast–paced, full-time, 40 hour a week position within the Ministry. The ideal EA will be responsible for answering multi-line phones, handling confidential information and correspondence, as well as scheduling and preparing meetings. The candidate must have a successful and verifiable work history of at least 3-5 years in executive and/or administrative office capacities.

Description

  • Provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, preparing invoices, reports, memos, letters, and financial statements.
  • Perform administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Implement business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Serve as the information manager of the office, plan and schedule meetings and appointments, organize and maintain paper and electronic files, manage projects, conduct research, and provide information by using the telephone, postal mail, and e-mail.
  • Organize and prepare agendas and make arrangements for committee, board, and other important meetings.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in the use of personal computers to create spreadsheets, compose correspondence, manage databases, and create presentations, reports, and documents by using desktop publishing software and digital graphics.
  • Possess a strong knowledge base of software applications, such as Microsoft office, word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
  • Listen to and understand information and ideas to communicate in writing or in speaking to other staff.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with a strong aptitude in creating appropriate priorities for work assignments and accomplishing time-sensitive tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills including spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Amiable and industrious personality with a demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.

Network Engineer, World Harvest Church, Canal Winchester, Ohio

Duties

    Installs, configures, maintains and supports large church organization’s LAN, WAN, Internet systems and related computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and configurations. Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves problems with LAN, WAN and networking systems, including email server and client management, internet security and acceleration, local area network application servers and client administration, routing and remote access, and corporate information security, including spam filtering and anti-virus systems. Maintains PGP Server on Linux. Manages NAS, Fiber Optics & iSCSI devices. Assists in running VoIP systems. Plans, coordinates and implements network security measures using SurfControl Enterprise Suite. Performs enterprise backup and disaster recovery. Monitors network performance, and confers with network users, to determine needed changes and improvements. Confers with the development team in order to administer, backup and develop databases and database applications used by the ministry.

Requirements

    BS in Computer Science (CS), Computer Information Systems, or a closely related technical field, plus 5 yrs of progressive network and/or database management experience to include network administration management of complex enterprise networking systems and/or development and maintenance of relational database systems. Must be proficient in developing infrastructure plans, economically integrating church or other similar non-profit organization’s operations (including donor management, donor relations, and donor mail order systems) into networking and database systems, and using knowledge of the following technologies to carry out network administration, design and development: SurfControl Enterprise Suite, GFI Email Security, PGP Server on Linux, NAS and iSCSI, VoIP systems, and the design, development and management of database software in SQL and Access. On call 24/7. 40 hrs./wk.
