Friday, August 3th - He Knows You!
Dear Friend,
The book of Jude in your Bible says we build ourselves up in our most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit. I hope you’ll join me by praying in the Spirit for at least 30 minutes every day between now and 8-8-18.
Joni and I pray for you and your needs daily, and I want each and every one of us to approach that great day and our
8-8-18 New is Now and Now is Forever Victory & Prayer Service full of faith and ready to believe and receive all God has in store for us during this supernatural season of new beginnings!
In John 4, a woman came to a well for water. There, she encountered our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, and an exchange took place between them.
Over the course of her next few moments, it became clear to the woman that, without explanation – this man, Jesus – knew her, and things about her that He cannot possibly know.
In response, she tells him,
“I can see that you are a prophet.” Jesus said to the woman,
“The hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth.”
Of course, there’s usually a difference between an hour that is
coming and an hour that is
here. One is future; the other is present. To the woman, Jesus said the hour is “now.”
He was saying,
There’s no more waiting, and no need for yesterday’s anointing! You can walk in the New thing I’m doing today: A new anointing! A new revelation! A new victory! Right now!
There – at that moment – it happened. Something “clicked” when her
faith encountered her God. Here faith apprehended His Word and transformed His “NEW” into her “
NOW.”
Her distant dream became her
present reality. Messiah had come – and
He knew her.
He knew her need. She came to the well for water. But He knew the water she needed was so much more than the kind that runs in a brook or gathers in a well.
She needed living water, and when she believed, He provided – not only for her, but for those around her! A few verses later, that same woman is found in the city testifying that Jesus was the Christ – the awaited Messiah – and many believed on account of her testimony.
Let me tell you, ##FirstName##: God knows you. He knows everything about you. He knows your needs, your desires, and your God-given dreams. And He has a purpose and a plan to meet them.
The question is not if, but
when.
When will you in your need come into contact with the God who
knows your need and wants to fill it?
When will your dream become reality?
When will your heart’s desire become something you can hold in your hands?
Isaiah 43:19 shouts it:
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
“8” is God’s number for new beginnings. Take a look in the Bible:
- God commanded Israelite baby boys be circumcised on their eighth day. “8” was the beginning of their covenant with Jehovah, their Creator.
- Jesus was raised from the grave on the eighth day of Passion Week – and that Easter Sunday morning marked the first day of a new beginning of a new covenant and our new life in Christ.
- The apostle Thomas did not meet the risen Savior with the rest of the disciples and didn’t believe their report – but eight days later, Jesus appeared and laid Thomas’ doubts to rest! That was a new beginning for Doubting Thomas!
“8” means resurrection, a new beginning, a new covenant!
That’s why on 8-8-18, I have called for a solemn assembly. I want to pray with you and for you in the presence of Almighty God. I want our faith – together in agreement – to apprehend His Word in a moment where God’s
NEW becomes your
NOW …
forever!
