Day 2 – There is One Baptism

Dear Friend,

I want to talk to you today about an often overlooked, yet vitally important symbol of our covenant with God … of the “old man” – our former, fallen lives – yielding to a new man … a new creation … through the resurrection power of Christ: Baptism.

What is spiritual life after the water?

• Before the water – a symbol of your rebirth in Christ, dying to sin and being made alive again through His resurrection – you were a broken victim. After, you are a victor seated with Christ in heavenly places.
• Before, the devil had positional freedom in the affairs of your life. After, you are sealed with God in Christ.
• Before, you were hopelessly lost. After, you are found by the King of the ages, and counted as His friend.

Your reborn identity cannot carry the baggage of the old man.

Of course, we cannot always expect the process of regeneration to happen overnight. But we cannot fail to realize that all of heaven sees you as a new being … a new creation … now. And now, God re-writes your history.

I believe you are on the precipice of seeing God take everything in your past and use it for His glory IN you and THROUGH you: The once tainted and stained face of our prior days will be washed white as snow by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony! HALLELUJAH!


Tell me so I can agree with you in faith!

Baptism is not a ritual. It is not mere religion, or something to be done secretly in a corner. Along with Holy Communion, water baptism is one of the two most important signs of our covenant relationship with God and with each other.

It is a sign to you and to everybody around you. It is given with absolute purpose and is worthy of God’s divine institution, for there is one baptism, one body, and one Lord (Ephesians 4:5). His name is Jesus, and today we are all witnesses that HE is “over all and through all and in all.”

If you’ve not yet been baptized in water, I ask a question: What’s keeping you? Make plans to follow Jesus in water baptism today.

I’m believing God to totally and radically transform your life as He fulfills the manifestation of the symbol of water baptism in you and your loved ones and ignites your heart on fire for Him by a fresh filling of the mighty baptism of the Holy Spirit!
