Day 4 – Are you listening?

This is day four of our 7 Days of Transformation email teachings.

There is a sad misunderstanding in some parts the body of Christ that the Bible has replaced the voice of God or the movement of His Spirit. Many others in the so-called “church” dare to reject the authority of scripture altogether, believing as God sits high, He could not have been bothered with humans, so how could they have written His words down?

But in fact, your Bible bears out that God absolutely does concern Himself – and deeply – with the affairs of mankind.

Not only is the King of history concerned with how His world and His people conduct themselves as bearers of His image; He involves Himself.

Through scripture, dreams, visions, whispering as a still small voice inside one’s heart, or shouting from an open heaven for many to hear, your Bible reveals God as a good Father, faithful to His promise, who is seeking us … to bless His people and to make us Holy.

The first chapter of the Gospel of Mark and verse 35 records these words concerning the Lord Jesus:

“In the morning, rising up a great while before sunrise, He went out and departed to a solitary place. And there He prayed.”

It doesn’t say He went out to read His Bible or He attended the local theology seminar. It says He prayed.

If the Lord Jesus Christ – the greatest Preacher, with the greatest anointing … God Himself – required time alone with the Father away from the world, to pray and to be led by the Spirit … why should we think it should be any different for us?

Prayer is God-communication. Every moment spent in prayer is the most powerful time of your day!

• Pray and watch Heaven move.
• Pray and watch Hell be defeated.
• Pray and see the miracle happen.
• Pray and watch lives be transformed.
• Pray and LISTEN to the voice of the One you seek lead you into all truth and away from every defeat.

The voice of the Lord will testify of the scriptures as the scriptures testify of His voice:

“These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” - John 14:25-26

I want to challenge you this week – spend extra time in prayer. Put your cell phone away for a while, turn the TV or computer off, and turn your mind to God.

Talk to God – tell Him your needs. Tell Him who you’re believing to come to His Kingdom – the loved ones you know are far from God. Then join us in agreement with many tens of thousands around the world: Come to Dominion Camp Meeting!
