Today is day five!
Over 4 decades ago, God deposited in my spirit a profound foundational truth - the biblical
principle of seedtime-harvest. Simply stated, there are three key principles:
- Become fully convinced that God alone is your source.
Your employer isn’t your financial supplier - God is Jehovah Jireh (Genesis 22:14),
the LORD your provider. The doctor or pharmacy isn’t the source of health and
healing - God is Jehovah Rapha (Exodus 15:26), the LORD your healer. He’s your
ultimate source to meet all your needs (Philippians 4:19).
- There is a biblical covenant establishing seedtime and harvest.
Every farmer knows seed that’s sown in the right soil, in the right season
will result in a harvest.
- “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat,
summer and winter, and day and night will not cease.” - Genesis 8:22
- “Be not deceived. God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows,
that will he also reap.” - Galatians 6:7
- “But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly,
and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” - 2 Corinthians 9:6
- You must sow in faith with the full expectation that God will provide
the harvest as He’s promised. No farmer sows seed unless they also believe the harvest
is coming. They haven’t seen the harvest yet, but by faith, they trust it will be there.
In the same way, God always delivers with a seed sown in faith and obedience. When you sow into
the work of the kingdom, God Himself stands on the borders of your land of promise and tells the
devourer - the seed eater, “Stop it! That’s enough!” Malachi 3:10-11 shouts
it down through the ages:
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and
test Me now in this, says the LORD of Hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven
and pour out for you a blessing, that there will not be room enough to receive it.”
Take God at His word - sowing in faith and obedience - and see what God will do for you. Remember
you’re not responsible to perform a miracle, and no amount of money can buy one! But you
can begin a miraculous, abundant harvest with a seed sown by faith and expectancy!
Just before that very first Easter Resurrection Morning over 2,000 years ago, God wanted the harvest
of a family, so He sowed His Son. THIS is the same season the Lord God Omnipotent sowed the Lord
Jesus Christ - as the Ultimate Resurrection Seed to guarantee a harvest of a family - eternal life
for you and me!
